I spent years in public accounting and in industry, most recently as a Director at a large CPA firm. I saw a lot of good technical work delivered at a distance — accurate returns, thorough statements, and not much conversation in between.
In 2019 I started JT Kruk Associates so I could keep doing the complex work while staying close to the people it affects. That means answering the phone, knowing what changed in your business before the year ends, and being the same person who prepares the return and explains what it means.
A lot of that work happens with owner-operated businesses across the South Shore, including commercial fishing and shellfish operations, where the season, the vessel and the financing all move together. My aim is simple: fewer surprises, clearer numbers, and decisions made with the tax consequences already understood.
